Sovereign Dimensional Survey was incorporated on September 23rd 2006 and is now part of the Sovereign Oilfield Group plc.

Previously SDS was known as OIL Dimensional Survey, which was a division of OIL Engineering Ltd. On completion of a takeover Sovereign Oilfield Group plc set up SDS as an independent Limited company now based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

The main purpose of SDS is to provide dimensional control survey and laser scanning services to the Oil, Gas and petrochemical industries amongst others.
